From the news, it looks like the oh so manly Ken Mehlman is endorsing Joe Lieberman as the Republican Senate candidate in Connecticut. Heh - and they keep trying to make believe that Democrats are divided. Actually we're uniting with sensible Republicans to bring the country back to some kind of sanity.

I miss conservatives. We liberals will want to go off a cliff in one direction and it's good to have real conservatives to say "Hey, there's some stairs over there" . We listen, maybe we rappell down instead and some conservatives find the ride isn't so bad or we decide it's a better idea to roast marshmallows.

This crew in power isn't conservative - they just want to go over the opposite cliff taking everyone with them. They're so stubborn they insist the cliff is flat land inhabited by loving bunnies who will greet us with sweets and flowers if only we'll drop some daisy cutter bombs on them and kill their friends and neighbors.

I really recommend this book if you want to know what's actually going on and the difference between the people in power and actual conservatives. You'll have Mark Kirk pegged in a few pages.
